Mike Hager has over 50 years’ experience in both the public and private sector of hospitality management in resorts and parks including positions as Vice President of Operations for Oglebay Resort and Conference Center, General Manager of Stonewall Resort State Park and Assistant Manager at The Greenbrier. He also held positions of Superintendent at Hawks Nest and Pipestem State Parks.
Mike has a B.S. in Recreation Resource Management from West Virginia University, a Master Degree in Business Administration from Wheeling Jesuit University and is a graduate of the Cornell Hotel School General Managers Program. He retired from full time service with the DNR in June 2024, but continues to work part time on special projects for the agency. Mike and Rhonda reside in Roanoke, Virginia. They have a daughter and son and two grandsons. Mike is an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking and travel.
